Lisa-Smith_tnLisa has the perfect light lunch or afternoon snack.

turkey sandwich-2 slices of white bread.

-slices of Turkey (however much pleases you).

-1 slice of Muenster cheese.

-1 slice of Swiss cheese.

-1 egg.

-Mustard

-Mayo

-Butter (for the pan)

1. Turn the stove on medium heat, using a large pan. Melt one spoon of butter in the pan, and then put both slices of white bread, side by side in the pan.

2. On one slice arrange your turkey and cheese slices. Allow these to cook until the cheese is melted and the bread is toasted.

3. In another smaller pan, crack your egg and cook it sunny side up.

4. Once your egg is almost completely cooked, flip the egg, making sure the yolk doesn’t break.

5. When both your toast and egg are done. Lay the cooked egg on top of the turkey and cheese. On the other plain slice, place your condiments. I used mayo and mustard!

This is perfect when you’re tired of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and just want something warm and filling! I made these for breakfast and they were delicious and kept us full!

Lisa-Smith_tnLisa’s smoothie looks absolutely delicious. She says, ‘This one is perfect for any hot day, where you just need something cold and refreshing! I love them! The recipe is also very flexible, use any fruit you like!’

strawberry smoothie-1 cup of frozen raspberries.

-1/3 cup of vanilla yogurt.

-1/2 cup of milk.

-a little bit of sugar, to sweeten, incase it’s a sower!

1. In your blender pour one cup of frozen raspberries, 1/3 cup of vanilla yogurt, and ¼ cup of milk. Blend until your smooth is…well smooth.

2. Continue pouring small amounts of milk into your smoothie, blending between each addition.

3. If you like your smoothie thicker, stop adding milk, if you don’t like it so thick, continue adding more milk, and blending until you reach the consistency you like.

4. If your smoothie is a little sour, feel free to add a small spoon of sugar, blend, taste, and continue until it meets your liking! Enjoy!

Lisa-Smith_tnI don’t actually like raisins, so I’m not sure how these taste. But everyone that had one couldn’t get enough! I brought them on vacation, to share!

oatmealIngredients:

1 cup butter, soft.

1 cup brown sugar.

1 cup white sugar.

2 eggs.

1 teaspoon vanilla extract.

1 teaspoon baking soda.

1 teaspoon baking powder.

1 teaspoon salt.

1 cup raisins.

1 cup dried cranberries.

Raisins_1Beat the butter, sugars, eggs and vanilla for five minutes in a large bowl. In another bowl, combine the oats, flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.

Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, a little at a time, mixing after each.

Drop small mounds on a baking sheet, and bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for about 12 or so minutes.

BroccoliIngredients: (makes about 8)

4 Slices Bacon

4 oz Shredded Cheddar Cheese

baconMethod

  1. Heat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Cook bacon in microwave (I purchased microwavable bacon, since I feel that it is easier to make than the regular kind).
  2. Once the bacon is cooked and cooled down, break it into small pieces.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, and salt and pepper to taste. Fold in both the bacon pieces and the broccoli.
  4. Roll out your already prepare pizza dough into a 15 inch circle, and cut 8 triangles.
  5. Divide the mixture by eight, filling each triangle. Roll up the filling starting with the wider end.
  6. Brush the rolls with a little bit of oil, and bake them between 20 and 25 minutes.

Lisa-Smith_tnMy family loved this dip! It’s the perfect finger food, and really quick and easy to make!

mozzarella cherry tomatoesIngredients:

8 oz of cream cheese

½ teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

2 ½ cups mozzarella shredded cheese

2 ½ cups of cheddar shredded cheese

1 cup of pizza sauce

Any pizza toppings you love! I chose pepperoni, black olives, bacon, and jalapenos.

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and butter a square brownie pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, add the cream cheese, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Whisk together until combined. This step is easier if the cream cheese is at room temperature or softened.
  3. Spread this mixture at the bottom of the pan.
  4. Take half of each type of cheese and sprinkle that on top of the cream cheese mixture. Next spread the pizza sauce (I used the jar kind) and then top with the rest of the cheese.
  5. Spread the toppings of your choice evenly over the entire pan and bake for about 20-25 minutes. You can serve this dip with crackers of slices of bread.
